This performance was created as an intervention on a course designed for food & art event ‘(lt) x ides’, a collaborative project held at restaurant Two by Two in Northcote, between curator Laura ThompsonĀ https://instagram.com/lt_contemporary/ and chef Peter Gunn of ‘ides’ http://www.idesmelbourne.com.au/
Over five courses Peter and staff presented a menu in response to five artists, with a dish relating to each of their work exhibited in the restaurant.
#brandispublicenemyno1 contributes to my ongoing investigation into food habits, ritual and ceremonial marks of identity in relation to historical, contemporary and imagined community contexts.
