Converging Boundaries, Everyone and Nobody

Run Amok Gallery, George Town, Malaysia

Materials: Chef hat/masks, bamboo, plywood, newspaper, gas burner, cooking pots, assorted foodstuffs

Documentation of this performance is broken into three groups of photo; Masks, Procession, and Ceremony.

The performance Converging Boundaries, Everyone and Nobody was undertaken for group exhibition FALL INTO THE SEA TO BECOME AN ISLAND at Run Amok Gallery, George Town, Malaysia and curated into the annual George Town Festival.

This performance is the first of three socially engaged projects under the Converging Boundaries title. Each one an exploration of shifting identity through rituals, that mark the presence of global food habits on specific communities.
This project was made possible with support from Asialink and the George Town Festival.
